For us we heat the water, scoop the coffee and once the waters hot we mix the grounds and the water in our press with 1 of a couple spoons. They are each darkened with patina. A reminder of the passing days and routine.

Spoon Care:

Wash in warm to hot water with soap; towel or air dry. Regular use is the best way to keep your wooden piece conditioned. Every few years, if you need, you can use a food grade wood finish on your bowl.
