Bowl Turning on a Pole Lathe - 11-12th Aptil 2025 Gnesta, SWEDEN

from €270.00

A two day class is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the full experience of Pole Lathe Bowl Turning. During this class you will learn to safely axe out your own bowl blank, and then using the lathe turn a wooden bowl. Compared to a one day class you will have ample time to complete a good size eating bowl, with the potential to start or complete a second one. In this class we will also cover sourcing wood, sharpening turning tools, chat about design and more.

If you already have experience with turning on a pole lathe (svegsvarv) then you are welcome to join and work on more advanced projects like cup turning, locking lid boxes, handled bowls, etc. Please get in touch if you have any questions.

All tools & materials will be provided by the instructor.

Workshops start at 9 am and end around 5. We ask that you arrive a little before 9 in order to get settled.

If you are interested in taking turning hooks home you can purchase them now at a reduced cost and we will have them made and bring them to you at class.

FOOD

Lunch, Coffee, tea & Fika are included in the workshop fee and provided by the bakery of Långbro Gård.
