A two day class is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the full experience of Pole Lathe Bowl Turning. This class is accommodating of both beginners and those with some experience looking to learn new techniques. During this class you will learn to safely axe out your own bowl blank, and then using the lathe turn a wooden bowl. If you already have experience you can work on projects like end grain cup turning or, handled bowls, or a locking lid box. In this class we will also cover sourcing wood, sharpening turning tools, chat about design and more.
Please get in touch if you have any questions.
All tools & materials will be provided by the instructor. If you already have your own tools please bring them.
The workshop starts at 10 am.
If you are coming from afar you are welcome to stay in one of our guest rooms, a tent, or sleep in a camper/rv if you have one
If you are interested in taking turning hooks home you can purchase them now at a reduced cost and we will have them made and bring them to you at class.
